Edison Ford Winter Estates are located on the Caloosahatchee River, and were the winter homes of inventor Thomas Edison, and his friend Henry Ford. Visitors can tour Edison's botanical gardens and laboratory, which remain the way that Edison left them. Guided tours are required.

The Burroughs Home
The Burroughs Home was constructed in 1901. It is an impressive mansion, and both guided and self-guided tours are available. Guided tours run from October to May, with the tour guides wearing period costumes.
